Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being given 10/10 points at an Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci at just seven years old. Her first competitive event was the National Junior Championships in which she finished 13th in 1969. In 1970, she won. In 1972, during a meet of communist countries junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she took home 3 gold and silver medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. Her debut as a Senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four golds and a silver. In 1976, she was the first person in the world to use a backwards-double salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began as an entertainment professional in her teens in which she was a part of the figure skating duo of their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer in her teens. In her early years she was a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. These shows included the ice skating of which was followed by musical performances.
