Amanda Seales, formerly Amanda Diva, (born July 1, 1981 in Los Angeles, California) is a host, comedian DJ, creator of content, and more. Her move to Orlando at the age of 8 years old. After graduating of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando and attending SUNY Purchase to study undergrad. Her Columbia University masters in African American Studies that focuses on hip-hop is her second qualification. She began her career on the now cult famous Nickelodeon sitcom, My Brother and Me (1994) in the role of Deonne who was later recognized by the general public as a VJ Amanda Diva, the face of hip-hop, on MTV2 Sucker Free Sundays. Though spending some time as an artist on the recording stage and a spoken poetry writer, in the year 2011, she changed her name from Amanda Diva back to Amanda Seales and returned to television and soon after adding stand up comedian to her credits. In 2011 the name was changed from Amanda Diva back to Amanda Seales. In 2012, she returning to TV and shortly after, she added stand-up comedians too. She is very involved in empowering young women and removing racial discrimination. Furthermore she has been the ambassador of her mother's island, Grenada.
